Exploring and Preserving the Morris Canal
in Warren County 2011


The Warren County Morris Canal Committee will be initiating periodic email updates to keep interested members of the public apprised of scheduled activities and progress on preservation efforts along the Morris Canal in our county. If you would like to be added to our email list please send-your request to the Warren County Planning Department at planningdeptna,co.warren.ni.us .

Beginning in 2011 The Museum at Bread Lock, located on Route 57 in New Village, Franklin Township, will be open the second Sunday of each month from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Jim and Mary Lee Museum and Plane 9 West, located on Route 519, one 1/2 mile south of Route 57, will also be open the second Sunday from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. from April through October.

The 2011 bus tours of the Morris Canal in Warren County are scheduled for Saturday May 7 and Saturday, October 1. These trips fill up quickly so if you or someone you know is interested contact the Warren County Planning Department at 908-475-3265 for trip information and registration.
